General Discussion / Re: How does it fit through the door?

1: using rulers sucks. The gameboard should be a hex grid
2: The BAP artillery was absurdly overpowered
We played a lot of pstorm, but it never felt as smooth or well put together as LOS to me.

Short of asking military or police trainers (which is actually a possibility) if you know any paintball or airsoft enthusiasts they might be able to give some insight.
I was going to say, I played paintball for years, and was always better going over a barricade than around it. primary reason is: your eye, your shoulder, and your gun are near the top of your body. Also, when you want to duck back down, gravity assists you.
However, in game terms, I'd say stacking the penalties would be a bad idea.
One of the old-school rulebooks mention that moving while facing diagonally was prone to abuse.
The new rules forbid moving diagonally... something I'm highly opposed to.
What is the issue? maybe I'm of too good a heart, but I can't figure it out.
On page 13 of the Beta rules, there is the classic "indirect grenade" diagram. The same basic diagram and rules as in the original ruleset.
I have two questions:
1: the nightmare is not in the commando's front arc. He can't throw the grenade without turning. You are right, I am changing the rules so grenades can be thrown into side arcs.
2: The rules really should allow sideways tossing of grenades, at a penalty of course. If you aren't picky about placement, a running commando shouldn't have too much trouble tossing a grenade into a room as he runs past. Agreed.
3: Can the Nightmare target the commando with his Nachtmacher? (Does indirect grenade throwing work both ways?). I can imagine the nightmare would have enough visibility around the corner to give it a good try. Yes the nachtmacher is a grenade and follows the rules.
