Global Games 1997 Catalogue

Just wanted to point out that I posted a catalogue from Global Games, circa 1997, to the Media section a while back, and it was recently approved. Found it while I was about 30 pages deep in a Google search. I would think this would be one of the last catalogues to come out of Global Games, as they folded in the '97-'98 timeframe. Even so, it's missing a few Legions of Steel figures from the Planetstorm side...

The price list has more than the photo catalogue. The missing minis were the Fantasian War Bear and Hex Runner, yes? None of the other "missing" ones were ever made, were they?

Dammit Clark should Kickstart the Missing. Sadly for the best coverage you need Kickstarter and for that you need to be in the USA I think.

There is some steam building to possibly get LoS moving.

Do not lose hope even if we in the public have not heard from Clark in a while.

Kickstarter is the 2nd to the end task and there is much work and many decisions to be made before we reach that point. (the final point is production, marketing and shipping).

Well, the War Bear was never made (there's a thread around about an unrelated, currently available, resin model called a "Tiger APC" that I'm trying to convert). The Hex Runner was made and released (I have a couple). So, released miniatures missing pictures are:

Everything in this list exists as a physical model, although some of it is ridiculously hard to find.

I'll second what Dave said: don't lose hope just yet. Plus, I don't think a Kickstarter would necessarily be needed for missing miniatures. Producing a master and spincast mould isn't exorbitantly expensive, which is why miniature companies typically start that way.

I see Kickstarter as being something of a marketing tool as well.

But original LOS suffered a bit from having multiple differing sprues per mould, something that a bit of extra startup cash might help prevent. I heard this from Amazon Miniatures, who bought the EU moulds as an unlabelled bulk-lot package including everything ever released by Global Games Europe... or something like that.

As far as I know there were no "sprues" but rather the production moulds were created with some numerical combination of figures/bodies/arms and then when the production mould wore out it was melted down and RAFM (later Marco) could re-jigger the combination depending on what was needed.

There was the Great Rack Deal Debacle which lead to the Blue Box and created gluts and dearths because the entire line was produced in a fixed quantity for each SKU.
