What's the issue with diagonal facing and movement?
« on: November 15, 2019, 07:58:54 PM »
One of the old-school rulebooks mention that moving while facing diagonally was prone to abuse.

The new rules forbid moving diagonally... something I'm highly opposed to.

What is the issue? maybe I'm of too good a heart, but I can't figure it out.

I understand your point. When re-writing the rules I found that the overall explanation and calculations with new player for diagonal rule was deceptively more complicated than anticipated. For the purpose of getting new players more quickly antiquated with the game, I changed it in the core rules. I will however put the entire diagonal rules in as a preferred Optional Rule.
